About
Natasha Le Petit is an award-winning screenwriter and published short story writer drawn to thriller, horror, and crime narratives that explore psychological tension and contained, high-stakes worlds.
She has a Bachelors degree in Communications from UTS, Sydney (majoring in Advanced Screenplay Writing) and studied writing for television at Australia Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
Prior to launching her screenplay career, she worked for the Sydney Film Festival and Screen Australia (previously known as Film Australia).
Achievements
Natasha’s feature The Undertaker’s Children was a Top 3 finalist in the Big Break International Screenplay Competition. Her scripts The Yielding and Fence have also been finalists in multiple international competitions.
In April 2024 Natasha won the WIFT Cannes Catalyst Pitch competition and became a mentor for emerging writers as part of the ElevateUs mentorship program. She also served as an adjudicator for the Create Short Film competition, Wollongong 2025.
